Project Value: 20 Billion EGP (Project delivered in consortium between Concord and Petrojet each with a 50% share)

Description: 3 tunnels under the new and old Suez Canal with diameters of 11.4 m (two for roads and one for railway) with depth of 60 m and lengths of 15 km for tunnel excavation, and 8km for the construction works of entrances and exits.

Housing Development of the New Cairo Capital


The New Cairo Capital project, when completed in 2022, is predicted to transform the future of Egypt. According to the plans, the city would become the new administrative and financial capital of Egypt, housing the main government departments and ministries, as well as foreign embassies. The city is planned to consist of residential districts, artificial lakes, educational institutions, hospitals and clinics, mosques, 40,000 hotel rooms, a major theme park, 91 square kilometers of solar energy farms, an electric railway link with Cairo, and a new international airport. It will be built as a smart city.
Implementation of infrastructure and development of 61 residential buildings for the first priority areas of the new administrative capital and the residential housing complex of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed – Third Area in addition to the Businessmen Zone.
