Position: Roads Technical Office Engineer

Concord  for Construction is actively seeking a seasoned and proficient Technical Office Engineer to join our team. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling road construction projects. Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Prepare, review, and manage technical documents, drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that construction activities comply with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports. Monitor project costs and ensure they stay within the approved budget.
  • Provide technical support to the construction site team. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during construction.
  • Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Conduct regular site inspections to enforce compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between the technical office and on-site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders. Highlight any potential delays or issues and propose solutions.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • From 2-5 years of experience in road construction.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of road construction techniques, materials, and standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations.
